Parenting is hard and juggling the ups and downs of motherhood is no easy task. We struggle to fulfill our children's needs and feel like we are failing to meet society’s unrealistic expectations of motherhood.
We all want to raise happy, healthy, well-adjusted children who grow up to become happy, healthy, successful adults. But, we no longer desire to parent the way our parents did, and frankly we shouldn’t. Like setting an old classic to a funky, dope beat, we have remixed and redefined motherhood.
Our children face different pressures and bigger obstacles, and the stakes are higher. Yet, that doesn’t mean that we must always put our children first, above everything else.
Let's adopt a new approach to parenting, taking care of ourselves first so that we are better equipped to take care of our babies.
Join me along with other like-minded moms as we transform our negative mommy mindset into a positive one. We will unite as a dynamic throng of women who do motherhood unapologetically.
This event is for you, moms! We will talk openly and honestly about parenting, the good, the bad, and the ugly.
We will celebrate each other, both the woman and the mom!
We will learn a little something!
We will remind ourselves that we are so much more than our children's mommy!
