A Fresh Start in 2017

2017 has arrived – we are just over 2 weeks in!. A new year is an exciting time for it ushers in hope, promise, and new beginnings.  We leave behind the old and begin anew. Galvanized by a collective fresh start in 2017, I have compiled 12 scriptures, 1 for each month of the year, to motivate, inspire, and encourage us as we embark upon a new, and prayerfully transformative, journey in 2017.

January – II Corinthians 5:17 (NLT)

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

February – Proverbs 16:3 (NIV)

Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and He will establish your plans

March – Isaiah 43:18-19 (NLT)

But forget all that – it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?

April – Habakkuk 2:3 (NLT)

This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place.

May – Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)

For we are God’s masterpiece. He created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He has planned for us long ago

June – Ezra 10:4 (NLT)

Get up … be strong and take action

July – Philippians 1:6 (NLT)

And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finished

August – Isaiah 60:1 (NLT)

Let your light shine for all to see

September – Esther 4:14 (NLT)

Perhaps you were made … for such a time as this

October – Galatians 6:9 (NLT)

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessings if we don’t give up

November – Thessalonians 5:18 (NIV)

Give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus

December  – Ephesians 4:1 (NLT)

Lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God
