While a common childhood diagnosis, ADHD is often poorly understood. It’s more than kids with boundless energy, excessive talking, daydreaming, and forgetfulness. Bidding Adieu to Odyssey: A Mother’s Ode to Preschool

Defining Odyssey Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary defines an odyssey as a “long wandering or voyage usually marked by many changes of fortune” or “an intellectual or spiritual wandering or quest.” Aptly named, our preschool, Odyssey Early School, captures the journey our children took as they transitioned from infancy to toddler to preschooler. Back to School Prayer

As many of you know, I have 3 children. My son is 7 and my daughters will be 4 and 11 in just a few days. HELP! My Child is Struggling in School!

From kindergarten through high school, our children spend the bulk of their day at school. Within the school setting, they learn new skills and demonstrate mastery of educational concepts, form new friendships and nurture old ones, solve problems, manage conflicts and disagreements, and grow. Not infrequently, however, children begin to experience symptoms of a psychiatric illness that may greatly interfere with his ability to accomplish these tasks at school.
